Reimalie Academy College was established in 2011 with the approval of NCTE and initially functioned under the affiliation of Gauhati University. With the establishment of Bodoland University in 2015 to serve the Lower Assam region, Reimalie Academy College played a pivotal role in initiating the B.Ed. programme under the new university. It became the first B.Ed. College affiliated to Bodoland University, actively contributing to the formation of the B.Ed. curriculum. The college has also been functioning as an official Examination Zone for B.Ed. courses under Bodoland University till 2019.
